🔪 Boucherie Chez David: From the Market to the Web 🥩
Context
Boucherie Chez David is a Narbonne institution. Known and loved for its fresh, quality products, it built up a loyal customer base at local markets over the years. But it was time to give this mobile butcher shop a digital showcase worthy of its reputation.
Design and inspiration
At our first meeting, David showed me his logo, a reflection of his visual identity. It became the starting point for the design. The site's color palette, typography and graphic elements naturally drew from it, ensuring continuity between the existing brand image and the new site.
Site design
Since most users browse the web from their smartphone, a "mobile first" approach was adopted. The site was built on WordPress, a robust, versatile platform, perfect for a showcase site like Chez David's.
A "one page" design makes navigation easy and lets visitors discover the full range of David's offer at a glance. Clear, distinct sections highlight the products, the butcher shop's story, and of course, testimonials from happy customers.
Blog section
Adding a blog section was essential. David can now share behind-the-scenes glimpses of his trade, favorite recipes, special deliveries, or local events where he'll be present. It's an authentic way to engage his community and keep his customers informed regularly.
In conclusion
This project was a great collaborative adventure. Translating the essence of a mobile butcher shop into an elegant, functional website that faithfully reflects its identity was an exciting challenge. Today, Boucherie Chez David isn't just a fixture of Narbonne's markets, but also an online reference for quality-meat lovers everywhere.
