Work carried out
Context
Château La Truffière is a wine estate for which the goal was to set up a genuine e-commerce site able to present the estate and offer its products for sale online.
The project was built from a foundation provided by the client: a logo, a visual background already tied to the estate's world, and photos. Starting from these elements, the work involved designing a coherent web identity and turning this raw material into a clear, credible, workable online store.
Starting need
The main need was to create a simple, readable e-commerce site suited to the estate's activity. Products had to be presented in a structured way, contact had to be made easy, and a solid foundation had to be laid for the château's online presence.
Another challenge was to showcase the different references on offer, notably white and red wines, in various formats depending on the product.
Work carried out
The site was built on WordPress with Elementor, following a custom-build approach based on the existing material supplied by the client.
The main work covered:
- building the e-commerce site;
- designing the web visual identity from the logo and background supplied;
- developing the site's overall design in keeping with the estate's world;
- integrating the photos provided by the client;
- setting up the online store;
- organizing the site and the user journey overall;
- integrating the product sheets structured by the client;
- showcasing the different wine categories and formats;
- adding a contact form;
- quickly linking to the Google Business Profile listing created by the client, notably for display and the Google Maps marker;
- several standard optimizations related to an e-commerce site.
The client took a direct part in structuring the product sheets, which kept the presentation faithful to her activity and her way of showcasing her wines.
Design choices
The chosen approach was not to start from a fully abstract art direction, but to build the site from the client's visual intuition. The logo and background supplied served as a starting point for developing a coherent web identity able to work on the site and support the product showcase.
The design work therefore consisted of turning a simple foundation into a usable digital world, without overloading the site or losing the link with the estate's image.
On the e-commerce side, the goal was a clear, easy-to-browse store, structured enough to showcase the products without needlessly complicating the experience.
Result
The project delivered a coherent, readable e-commerce site suited to the estate's activity. The site presents the products more clearly, lays down a clean visual foundation, and gives the château a more credible web presence.
This project demonstrates the ability to:
- build an e-commerce site on WordPress and Elementor;
- design a web identity from material supplied by the client;
- integrate and showcase existing content;
- structure an online store simply but effectively;
- support a client in launching a concrete, useful tool suited to their activity.
